The  Cave Ministries Outreach team comprised of individuals from the Cave Ministries and members of other churches and individuals who work tirelessly on their own to help the homeless of Mobile, AL.  Together, we are raising money to purchase a shower trailer.  This will help to meet the needs and provide added services to our most vulnerable in our community.  Our unsheltered population is growing daily.  

 

It is our goal to reach out and share the love of God and develop relationships, inspire hope, restore dignity and try to help transition our less fortunate members of our community back into a housed situation where possible.  

 

Showers of Change, is the name of the outreach program we are adding to our services.  Our outreach serves those experiencing homelessness by providing hygiene resources, food, shoes, clothing, tents, sleeping bags and whatever we can collect to help them.  With the purchase of a mobile shower unit, we will be able to provide them even more help, and hope.  It can lead to helping them integrate back into society.  A warm shower is a blessing, and Showers of Change can give them the opportunity to clean themselves in privacy and dignity, and provide us the opportunity to build relationships to further help them.  

 

Your donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly to the purchase of a shower trailer and the tools of outreach to support it. We will supply clean towels, washcloths, toiletries, socks, and underwear. Our hope is that by meeting this basic human need of cleanliness we can help generate a sense of stability and self esteem that is needed in order to find employment and housing.
